Optimism – The Faith That Leads to Victory
The word optimism is derived from a Latin word ‘Optimus’, meaning “best,” which depicts, how an optimistic and enthusiastic person always looks at the brighter side of any favorable or unfavorable situation and gets the best in the end.
Optimism is the main reason to believe and expect that any current situation will turn out well, eventually, like if an optimistic person loses anything in his life that is very precious to him, he will still be able to see it as the silver lining. His viewpoint is to look for the rainbow in the rain and gaze at the stars in the dark.
My friends usually ask me, “Whatever the mess is there, we never saw you panicked. How you come up so cheerful and ebullient?” And this is what I have to tell them that optimism is the quality which is associated with happiness, success and satisfaction.
Ups and Downs in your Life Means You are Still Alive
Life will never be smooth for anyone. Everyone has to face some hardships and share some light moments with others throughout their lives. So, there is no question of being gloomy, when things are not going right for you. The ups and downs in the heart beat scan shows the sign of being alive. Similarly the ups and downs in your life show that you are still courageous and strong enough to handle difficult situations. If one day in your life is not apparently good for you, then the next day will bring the contentment for you. You just need to learn that past is to adore, present is to cherish and future is to be hopeful.
Optimism attracts Happiness and Contentment
Optimism or buoyance act like a magnet that attracts gratification and joy for you. Being optimistic does not mean that the bad situation will automatically be turned into a good one. It means that whatever the situation you are facing, you have a firm believe that you will be all okay when it will change.
Once I was a bankrupt and it was quite distressing situation for me. I was at a risk of depression, when I made a strong decision, collected my strength, took some loan and stated my own business. My confidence in myself, optimism in my thinking and self-determination made me exemplary businessman in the town with no bankruptcy. I might not have been successful without this much hope and buoyance. I believe that if you want to avoid shadow, then face the sun!
Positive Self-Talk Leads to Positive Thinking
You can either be an optimist or a pessimist to decide about a condition. This all depends on the way you treat and think about yourself. If you are that one person who wants to be victorious in every condition, then you need to be too positive to be tentative, too buoyant to be fearful, and too determined to be discouraged.
An optimist accepts about the result of his own actions and he knows that he is the only one who is responsible for his happiness. He is not a complainer, but a worrier. A positive self-talk make his opinion stronger and he always thinks about a positive outcome. Optimist does not blame himself if anything goes wrong.
On the other hand, a pessimist thinks the opposite side. He complains of himself for the worst things which happen in his life. He worries that one wrong step means more disaster will inevitably come. A complainer sees a positive event as a fluke that cannot happen again. He complains about his life and never takes any positive step to make it better. Because of his negative thinking, he is unable to make any kind of progress.
See the Opportunity in Every Difficulty
Optimists have much glaring futures, just because of their positive thinking. Every single bad event or situation is taken in stride and observed as a minor setback. A positive thinker will not consider a bad time as an everlasting way of living. He believes that opportunities are always there and he just has to find the stars in the dark. A cheerful mind will have a positive thought right from the start of the day that will have an everlasting impact throughout the day.
Change your way of thinking today!
You will observe a positive change in your life by the time you change your way of thinking. Positive thoughts enable you to view life with a different perspective that is full of hope, determination and confidence. This enthusiasm will also make you healthier and wiser too.
You just have to change your thinking patterns. Even a complainer can become an optimist with some practice. All you need to do is rewash your brain for positive thoughts. You have to reframe your mind about how you define event to yourself. Even a step that you think is taken in a wrong direction, just think about what you learned during the process, and what lesson you discover within yourself and next time how you can use your talent in better way. Rather complaining about the situation and blaming yourself for the disaster, think about the positive aspects that may have given by this wrong step. And you must see the bright side of the given picture. As a job person if you couldn’t meet a deadline; or your bosses want to go in a different direction, making your project unneeded, effectively any of this kind of situation can be turned into a learning experience, which expand your talent for success in the future.
Actually, optimism is a basic skill of your intelligence. This can convert your life to a better career. It can change your failures in greater achievements. Human living is too short to be miserable, so you must start thinking to be more and more positive to have a successful life. Constructive thoughts, an optimistic look, and overall healthier life can boost your vision for the work, relations and other experiences of life.
